The Falling Doesn't Feel So Bad - BNHA Fanart

Image
Warning! This post contains major spoilers for the My Hero Academia manga up to Chapter 318! The anime is currently up to Chapter 270 (as of writing this post; it's a little past there at the time of posting this), so if you are an anime-only fan trying to avoid spoilers, this post isn't for you just yet. Character -  Izuku Midoriya Time - Approx. 2.5 Hours I've spent so long just staring at this drawing; I love it so much.  This drawing took a lot of iteration. I actually started by doing some thumbnails on a piece of paper and then taking a picture of the thumbnail I liked the best and putting it into FireAlpaca. I used a really dark red for the line art and then a kind of mauve-pink for the shadows and an orange-y color for the highlights. The background was taken from Google and edited slightly so it would work with what I had in mind.  Gosh dang if the Rouge Deku Arc hasn't been destroying me emotionally. I've been reading the manga as the English volumes hav

Left vs. Right - My Hero Academia Fanart

Image
Time: Approx. 4.5 Hours Characters: Todoroki Shouto Midoriya Izuku I had this idea while grocery shopping with my family and I saw one of those hot and cold bags. Those always make me think of Todoroki, but this time I was thinking about the fact that it was opposite on the bag to how it is on Todoroki. And then I had the thought of "Huh. I wonder how differently the Sports Festival would have gone if Todoroki was dyslexic." Thus, I drew this comic. Honestly, this is my favorite comic I've ever drawn. And also my favorite drawing of Midoriya I've ever done (especially compared to the last drawing of him I did). And my favorite hand I've ever drawn. My only critique was that I was too lazy to draw the backgrounds myself so I just used the backgrounds from My Hero Academia. I actually also made my own font of my handwriting! I called it Font-ains of Wayne. If you have any questions about my art, feel free to ask! Until next time, I will be waiting quite impatient

My Characters In Undertale - Asteroids and Dragons x Undertale Redraw

Image
Characters: Candace Andrews as Frisk Cathrine Andrews as Flowey Kendra Andrews as Chara Eli Jenson as Mettaton Andy Harris as Napstablook Chloe Charmichael as Sans Anya Adams as Papyrus Time: Approx. 5 Hours Original I actually really enjoyed the original of this drawing! But it was just too outdated and I decided to update it. There are two character swap outs from the original. I decided to make Eli be Mettaton instead of Carter. If you know anything about Eli's character, you'd probably be able to guess why this makes more sense. Eli is an absolute showman and I could see him threatening some of the good guys with chainsaws and baking shows. I also switched out Jeff as Flowey for a character who is making her first appearance on my blog: Cathrine! Cathrine is Candace and Kendra's sister. She's the middle child, actually. I think of Cathrine as more of Asriel in this AU, but Asriel and Flowey are the same person, hence Cathrine is Flowy. Some characters who aren'

Trish Felton: Guy In The Chair - SpearGirl

Image
Character - Trish Felton Time - Approx. 1.5 Hours Another character for my Speargirl story! This is Ivy's best friend, Trish. Trish has gone through many, many redesigns over their time of being a character. They didn't even actually exist in the original version of Speargirl (or should I say Spearwoman *shudders*). Since their creation, they've always been Ivy's right-hand man and tech buddy. Every superhero needs a guy in the chair. In this drawing, Trish is wearing the school uniform for the school they and Ivy go to, called Jefferson High School. Students have the option of a white, navy, or black polo and khaki's or a skirt. Trish is sporting a pair of Doc Martens that don't really read as Doc Martens, but I tried. I gave them a Todoroki pin on their tiny little backpack that you can barely tell is there. I absolutely love how their hair turned out. I used a light red for the shading and I've been vibing with colored line art as of late. I hope you al

Some of My Characters in Dungeons and Dragons - Asteroids and Dragons

Image
Hi hello there! Today I'm going through some Dungeons and Dragons concepts for three of my characters, Bea, Candace, and Eli. These are mostly just for fun and highly inspired by ABD Illustrates on YouTube. The first character is Bea (seen above)! In the Dungeons and Dragons AU, she is a lawful neutral Eldritch Knight. I can't really go into much more detail about Bea as a character since she has a lot of spoilers attached to her that I'd like to keep relatively under wraps for now. This design is generally based on a stereotypical knight. I had a lot of fun coloring and shading the armor and I really enjoy how it turned out. And also the hands and feet in this drawing turned out SO GOOD! For Bea's first digital appearance since 2019, she turned out really good. Next up is Candace, our resident Bard of Lore. She is a former member of this AU's equivalent of the Star Scouts, known as the Brigade. She travels from planet to planet telling tales of the people she'

It's a Beautiful Day Outside... - Undertale Redraw

Image
Characters - Frisk (Undertale) Sans (Undertale) Time - Approx. 2.5 Hours Original Two years ago I posted the original version of this drawing. I was very very proud of it at the time. And y'all seemed to really like it to; It's still the most popular post on my blog by a humongous margin. As of now, it is my least favorite digital piece I have done. But! I've been wanting to redraw it for a while, so I did. And, oh, I am very happy I did. I absolutely love this piece. In my original post for this drawing, I mentioned a few issues that I had, so let's see how I improved the piece since then, shall we? Issue 1( Frisk doesn't feel like they fit in the scene The idea with all of those Undertale drawings I did in 2020 was that they were supposed to look like screenshots. The original of this drawing did not look much like a screenshot from Undertale. Frisk looked like they'd been copy pasted into the image instead of actually being there. I tackled that by focusing

Elliot. Entropy Elliot. - Dungeons and Dragons

Image
Character - Entropy Elliot Time - Approx. 2 Hours Meet my Dungeons and Dragons character, Entropy Elliot! He is a Chaotic Neutral Tiefling Bard from the college of Lore. He is an absolute mad lad. I've been DM-ing and playing him with some friends for a few months now, and if anything happened to him, I'd kill everyone in this room and then myself. The process of picking his colors was the most frustrating color picking process of my teenage life. His. Fricking. Tunic. I could not get all of the colors to look right, but I think they are okay now. The background is my favorite thing, though. I did a base color for the shape and then went in with FireAlpaca's particle brush with the same color on various multiply and add layers until it looked glittery enough. I used the same method for the glitter in this drawing. Now for one of my favorite Entropy Elliot story for your reading pleasure! The Bug Bear I have been playing this character in the Lost Mine of Phandelver campai

2022 Profile Picture - Yearly Redraw

Image
Character - Yours Truly Time - Approx. 1.5 Hours Previous Redraws It's that time again! My 2022 profile picture redraw! RIP the weird hair shape. You will be missed. This one has a very similar pose as the last two years did, but I abandoned the peace sign this year. It isn't for lack of trying, it just didn't really fit. You'll also notice the addition of a jean jacket along with the hoodie! I actually drew this in April around when the weather where I'm from was the appropriate temperature for a jean jacket over a hoodie. The Jake Peralta vibes are also immaculate. I find it very amusing that my way of drawing hoods has changed barely at all since I was 12. I also gave my drawn design darker hair and dimples this year. I've been trying to make my drawings of actual people look like the actual person I am drawing recently. My facial proportions still need some work, but we're working on it. I look forward to another year of drawing and improving. These pr

Redesigning An Old Character - Speargirl

Image
Character - Ivy Markus (Speargirl) Time: Approx. 1.5 Hours I think it's important to note that this is still a beta version of this new character design. This is one of, if not my oldest, original character. She has had a lot of changes over the years, from being a self-insert to who she is today. The only trace of this character on my blog before now is this post from 2018. Oh how much I have grown as an artist since then... Her old color scheme was kind of a mess. Even at that stage, I was still clinging onto her as a self-insert. Hence the heavy overuse of cyan. Thematically for her character, it makes more sense for her color scheme to be mostly green. Another difference between this version and the older version is how her power looks aesthetically. Her origin story used to be that she got her powers from "toxic weapon waste" that allowed her to shoot spears out of her hands. I have obviously changed this, but I'm keeping that change to myself for now. In the o

I'm So [Fricking] Done - Asteroids and Dragons

Image
Characters: Andy Harris, Anya Adams, Kendra Andrews Eli Jenson, Chloe Charmichael, Tyler Everton Carter Freeman, Ella La Rue, Candace Andrews Time: Approx. 3 Hours Credit goes to Capochiino (i'm not sure what social) for the bases! An art youtuber that I watch did a bunch of these expression memes recently, and I thought it would be fun to do with my OCs! I put all of the names in a spin the wheel thing and put all the spaces in another and picked the spots randomly. That means these expressions don't all exactly fit. With this post, Tyler makes his first appearance on this blog! Andy made a very small cameo as Napstablook in my Asteroids and Dragons as Undertale post from a while ago. Ella also looks a little different from the last time I drew her on my blog. And of course I messed up on Chloe's bangs (they're supposed to be on the other side). Kendra's in a different outfit than normal... I think that's all the changes in these characters since their previo

Finale - Undertale Redraw

Image
Character: Frisk Time: Approx. 2.5 Hours Original: Here :D I made the original version of this piece near the beginning of quarantine, so almost two years ago! It's the only drawing from my trackpad days back then that I'm still proud of. But I knew there was some stuff that I could still improve on. Two years later, I've made this! I'll let you be the judge of how much I've improved over the years. For one: I flipped the canvas while sketching. I actually sketched, as apposed to the original. I've slightly changed my style of drawing Frisk, so that's been reflected too. I tried to focus a lot more on having the highlights land in the right places, adding very minimum shading. My line art style is slightly more detailed in this piece, though I can't guarantee that level of detail on everything from now on. Let me know if you have any questions, and who is your favorite Undertale character? Are there any old pieces that you'd like to see me redraw?

The List - Sisters Comic

Image
Character: Quin Time: Approx. 2.5 Hours Look! A new sisters comic! I haven't made one of these in a HOT second. I recently had a bunch of comic ideas, so hopefully I won't get in a rut again. Quin (and Audry!) has gotten a bit of a new outfit since my last drawing of her. Personally, I think it fits her a lot better than the T-shirt and shorts.  I'm in a kind of transitional period with my art style right now. I've been trying out using the Marker brush in FireAlpaca for my inks with a kind of dark reddish color. I think it looks good and gives it a very soft look! Though, some pieces might need a harder edge that the Marker brush doesn't give. I really like how I've done hair here though. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for future comics! For those of you who celebrate, good luck for Lent!  Stay awesome <3

Taunt - Asteroids and Dragons

Image
Character: Eli Jenson Time: Approx. 1 hour I have posted one drawing of Eli on this blog and there is definitely a big difference, maybe two, between that drawing and this one. One being Eli isn't missing an eye, and the other being his hair is completely red instead of white with a red stripe. There is an explanation of course. Eli is really good at make up and thinks he can get away with anything (hence the lovejoy quote used in this drawing) Eli is one of my favorite of my characters right now just because he's such a slimy boy. He doesn't have a dramatic anime backstory, or some vendetta. He's just some bored rich kid who decided he wanted to go do evil stuff. His character kind of reminds me of Doug Judy, aka the Pontiac Bandit, from Brooklyn 99. If you've got any questions about how I made this piece or about Eli's character, feel free to ask! Stay Awesome! <3

Magic - Asteroids and Dragons

Image
Character - Anya Adams Total Time - Approx. 1.5 Hours I've recently been writing Asteroids and Dragons proper, and I wrote this moment yesterday and thought it would be a really pretty fake screenshot (kind of like some of my Undertale stuff and this drawing I made a few years ago). I've been kind of inspired by Arcane and how every single frame in that show is a masterpiece. I'm not close to the level of artistic skill as the animators on Arcane, but I'm working on that kind of compositions. Stay awesome! <3
