My First Doll Repaint!: Day One + Photos

Hey guys! Just a few days ago, I began getting obsessed with doll repaint/ customization videos by Dollightful. So, I started making some doll hair out of yarn. Now, little did I know then that in the next day or so (I'm not done yet...) I would completely bald, deface, and reroot and repaint a barbie doll. Now, wanna see pictures?

For this part, I tied off the dolls hair to save for my next repaint. After tying it off, I chopped it off. Between this step and the next one, I shave off the rest of her hair with scissors.
And this was the point of no return. In retrospect, I should have contemplated my decision to complete strip this doll of its identity and give it a new one. I used some acetone nail polish remover and for some of this, I had on a makeshift gas mask. Also, BROTHER CAMEO!
So, I finished wiping off the facial features and I removed the nylon head by soaking it in boiling water from the kettle for thirty seconds then worked it off with a towel and my hand. Then, through the neck hole, I pulled out the rest of the hair and glue, known as plugs. That was when I took a break for the day.

So, guys! I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll update you guys on my project as much as possible. When I finally finish this thing, I'll announce my next project. If you'd like some basic pointers, check out this playlist by you tuber Dollightful: First Repaint Tips
